Getting started
- Open Clapi3D and create an account with your email and a password of at least 12 characters.
- Describe the object you need in the box at the bottom, for example “a wall hook for a 20 mm rail”, and send it.
- The agent builds the model. You see its steps while it works, then the model in 3D with its size and print hints.
- Ask for changes in the same conversation, then export the model with the share button.
The agents
Which agent builds my model?
The Clapilot agent or OpenAI Codex. Both use the same 3D tools (Clapilot 3D Studio). When both are available, choose one with the button at the left of the text box.
How long does it take?
Usually under a minute; larger models and several rounds of checks take longer. You can leave the app: the agent keeps working and the model is in your library when it’s done.
What do I see while the agent works?
The Clapilot robot and what the agent is doing right now, such as “Creating 3D model” or “Checking dimensions”. When it’s done, you see whether the model was created or changed, and what it cost.
Are the dimensions exact?
The model is built in real millimetres and checked, but an AI can still misunderstand you. Check the key dimensions in the app before you print.
Exporting and printing
Which format should I use?
3MF for Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer and OrcaSlicer (it keeps colours), STL for any slicer, OBJ and GLB for other 3D apps.
What do the print hints mean?
Thin walls, steep overhangs, separate parts or a model larger than the build plate. Ask the agent to fix them, for example “make the walls at least 2 mm”.
Credits
What does a model cost?
It depends on how much the agent has to do, and on whether you share the model. Shared with the community, a new model or a change costs 1 to 5 credits; kept private, 2 to 10. A simple part is at the low end, a complex model at the high end. Requests that fail are free. You get a few credits when you sign up.
How do I buy credits?
Tap your balance at the top of the library and choose a pack. Packs are in-app purchases through the App Store. Your credits belong to your Clapi3D account, work on all your devices and don’t expire.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a request went wrong, email us and we’ll look into it.
Community
How do I share a model?
Turn on “Share with community” when you describe a new model. It then costs half the credits, and every Clapi3D member can see, like and copy it. A shared model stays public until you delete it.
Can others see who made a model?
No. Shared models show no name or email address.
I found something offensive
Open the model, tap the “…” button and choose Report. We review reports and remove models that break the community rules. You can also hide all models of that creator.
Your account
I forgot my password
Tap “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen. We email you a link to choose a new password; it works once, for 24 hours.
How do I delete my account?
Tap the account button in the library → Delete account, and confirm with your password. Your account, models and conversations are deleted right away.
Can others see my models?
No. Your models and conversations belong to your account only.
